Determining in Chardeau's trajectory, Résilience is an autobiographical and strong album that marks a new lease of life after a slump (hence its title). It also marks the "Americanization" of his music. The opus was artistically produced by Jerry Goodman (the magical violinist of John McLaughlin's Mahavishnu Orchestra) and recorded with a dream cast. "My ideal configuration" confides Chardeau, who moves away here from the grandiloquent and progressive eclecticism of the previous album "Hors Scope" to refocus on a more rock direction but of great richness, carried by a formidably efficient production.
